Standard Blower Motor Resistors

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Perform an accurate diagnosis (verify power, ground, and signal inputs)

Verify the HVAC case drain is not restricted (no water or debris in HVAC case)

Replace associated components (connector, blower motor, cabin air filter) to prevent repeat failure

Fully install component in the HVAC case before powering it up and retesting (lack of airflow will burn up the resistor)

Tech Tip: Check the connector when replacing a blower motor resistor

Be sure to inspect the mating connector for signs of damage caused by excessive heat. If damaged, replace with a problem-solving. Blue Streak® blower motor resistor kit or a premium Standard® connector.

Our engineers improved on the OE design to create a connector that will withstand the excessive heat and reduce future failure. Our connectors undergo thermal cycling testing to withstand extreme temperatures to prevent melting.
